    Students will be able to discover the science behind the thrills of Universal’s Islands of Adventure® theme park, learn about the art of storytelling and the skills of movie making at Universal Studios Florida®, and go “behind the screams” and get an exclusive look at the making of Halloween Horror Nights®.  Through this educational and extraordinary program, students can witness real life applications of classroom principles and watch learning come to life with live performance assembly programs.

  • Guided Tours:

    Behind the Adventure: Find out about real life applications of physics, technology, horticulture and general sciences that were used to design and build the state-of-the-art Universal’s Islands of Adventure® theme park.

    Special FX: Discover how the arts and sciences are used to create some of the most spectacular special effects in motion picture history – and what it took to re-create those effects in some of Universal Studios’ most popular attractions.

    School of Rock: Tour the Hard Rock Hotel® and learn what it takes to meet the challenges of daily operation while remaining a profitable business.  Find out what goes on behind the scenes while discovering hospitality industry career opportunities.

    Firsthand Learning Programs:

    Ride Design: Participate in an in-depth discussion of ride design and the application of science and physics when building theme park attractions.  Hear what Universal Orlando engineers use on a daily basis to design state-of-the-art attractions.

    Marketing and Sales: Students learn about the effective marketing and sales campaigns created to promote Universal Orlando Resort.  Areas covered include advertising, group sales, brand marketing, and promotions, including details of the marketing tactics.

    Our Weather: Meet with and learn from WESH 2’s meteorologist Amy Sweezey.  In this unique live presentation, students will see what goes in to understanding weather patterns and the impact it can have on theme park guests.

    Culinary Arts: Learn basic food preparation principles, culinary techniques, and culinary art strategy in a fun, interactive setting.  Ask about the Lunch and Learn Pizza Party!

    Career Preparation: Students will meet Universal Orlando Staffing Recruiters to learn how to build a successful cover letter and resume as well as discuss topics regarding responsible social networking, professional etiquette, leadership, and effictive ways to market themselves to potential employers.
